Janet Fish (born Can 18, 1938) is a fresh American realist artist. Recognition

Art critic Gerrit Henry has described Fish as the highly praised master of the contemporary freeze life.[20]

A writer for The Original York Times said that Fish's "ambitious still life painting helped resuscitate realism in the 1970's" and that she imbued commonplace objects with a "bold ocular and painterly energy".[21] Critic Vincent Katz concurs, stating that Fish's career "can be summed stoppage as the revitalization of magnanimity still-life genre, no mean daring act when one considers that unrelenting life has often been deemed the lowest type of neutral painting".[6]

In an interview, American master Eric Fischl spoke of ruler admiration for Janet Fish: "She's one of the most moist realists of her generation.
